I hope your Christmas and New Year's celebrations were filled with many blessings for you and your family. December was a busy month here at Pacific Lifeline. We hosted our annual Holiday Store event. Pacific Lifeline’s annual Holiday Store is a wonderful example of the community generosity that brings the true meaning of giving to each Holiday Season. The Holiday Store provided new toys and gifts to women and their children. Mothers were able to shop for their children, and children were able to pick the perfect holiday surprise for their mother. Here is a snapshot of our Holiday Store this year:
106 people (34 women and 72 children) from Pacific Lifeline were served through the Holiday Store
In addition, five families from Upland Brethren in Christ Church were given gifts, and gifts were also donated to a Rancho Cucamonga High School for their Project Angel Tree.
Approximately 45 individuals, families, groups, churches, and businesses got involved with the Holiday Store either by donating gifts or volunteering.
Pacific Lifeline graduates brought gently used toys to the Holiday Store, which were donated to Navajo children in Arizona.
Here's what some of our residents and graduates had to say about his year's event:
"They gave items that I never would be able to purchase. They went above and beyond. Because they do not have to do this, their kindness and generosity are so overwhelming. Just seeing my kids so happy - I really want them to know that on our Christmas morning we were also thinking of them and hoping theirs was as wonderful as they made ours. God is wonderful... always there... I love Him so very much...oh my goodness I'm tearing up."
"To say ‘thank you’ to yet another year of kindness shown to my family and I just does not seem to be enough. We are so humbled and grateful to you – The Lord keeps showing me just how Good He is. God Bless you and yours Always."
"Thank you so much for helping to make our Christmas so special for our family. We know how times are hard these days, and it means so much to us! God bless your family, and we hope you have a wonderful Christmas! You will be in our prayers."
Thank you to those who came to volunteer at the Holiday Store. We are always humbled by your generosity!
